(La Suer)- Drug Treatment Programs: Proximity to Children
This bill would prohibit the California Department of Alcohol and Drug
Programs from issuing a license to any alcoholism or drug abuse recovery
or treatment program located within 1,000 feet of a school, church, licensed
child day care facility, park or other youth-frequented areas.

Would amend B& P code 25600 to permit a supplier to sponsor a sweepstakes

Retailer Training for Licensees
The intent of this bill is to implement mandatory server training. The
Policy Panel has been an advocate of mandatory server training since 1994.

Spirits
Would include distilled spirits within the specified exceptions- equalization.

SB 1417 (Romero)-
Alcoholic Beverage Retailer Fee - would state legislative intent
to enact legislation to establish a nexus between the consumption of alcoholic
beverage, determine the imposition of a fee on the retail sale of alcoholic
beverages to mitigate adverse health effects resulting from those sales,
and the relationship between the fee imposed on the retail sale of alcoholic
beverages to the social and economic burdens generated by the retail sale
of alcoholic beverages. The author's intent is to tax beer using the revenue
for ER's.
